Every Screen Batman Ranked From Worst To Best

8. David Mazouz (Gotham)

David Mazouz's performance as Bruce Wayne (very much the boy who would be Batman), is an intriguing prospect alongside the others on this list. It's a completist's performance, offering an insight into the character that was never really afforded by any of the films because of the traditional time limit given to Batman's early origin.

And while there was very much a suggestion that a story focussing on Bruce Wayne before he had the revelation to become the Bat would be like Jesus: The Gap Years, Gotham is actually an entertaining affair. It's obviously utterly bonkers at times, as well, but they're cutting a finer balance now.

Despite the old adage of never working with children, Mazouz handles the pressures of playing such an iconic character well, and it's genuinely insightful to see him learning Batman's code of ethics and his early training.
