Every Spider-Man Movie Villain (Ranked From Worst To Best)

3. Harry Osborn (Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3)

James Franco€™s Harry Osborn is the only villain in this list to appear in three movies. He€™s the long form villain of the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy, who develops from Peter€™s best friend to his enemy (and back again) over the course of the three films. This ambitious arc deserves praise €“ how many trilogies have a supporting character from the first film that becomes a major villain in the concluding chapter? I genuinely can€™t think of another one. Franco is note perfect for the first two films, selling the matey banter well in the first film and the sulking mourning exquisitely in part two. Sadly, it€™s hard to justify moving Franco€™s Harry any further up this list €“ although his set up and character development is brilliant in the first two films, the ball is seriously dropped in Spider-Man 3. Convenient amnesia takes him out of the game for ages, and when he reappears at the end he promptly becomes Peter€™s best bud again to help stop Venom. Really, Franco should have been the main event in Spider-Man 3, but that film is so disjointed that none of the villains come off as well as they should and could have done. If the film had focused in on Franco instead of taking such a scattershot approach, Harry could€™ve been the best villain yet.
