3. Luke Vs. Darth Vader - Return Of The Jedi

The rematch between Luke and Vader is extremely intense and well-conceived, especially for the standards of the original trilogy.

It's obviously loaded with emotion and meaning, has a ton of awesome dialogue, and boasts the added psychology of Luke desperately wanting not to fight his father.

Plus, it's got Vader throwing his damn lightsaber at his son, which is all kinds of awesome, as is an enraged Luke subsequently wailing away on him with all his might and finally getting the upper, ahem, hand, by slicing Vader's off.

With the help of John Williams' incredible score, this battle is an emotional culmination of everything the original trilogy had been building to, matching its character-driven thematic meaning with some of the series' most intense dueling.
