Every Star Wars Lightsaber Duel Ranked From Worst To Best
6. Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan VS. Darth Maul
Phantom's climactic jewel was the centerpiece of the film, and say what you may about the film itself, it's hard to deny just what an impact this set-piece had. After watching Luke Skywalker grow in his abilities over the course of the Original Trilogy, we were finally going to see Jedi in their prime, at the height of their abilities, and it certainly did not disappoint.
From the more complex choreography, to the illustrious and ever-evolving setting, to John Williams' instant-classic Duel Of The Fates, this is a cinematic spectacle to behold.
By the time Qui-Gon and Maul reach the laser gates, separating master from pupil, the fight evolves into something a bit more intimate and personal, as Obi-Wan is left to face Maul alone. It's a thrilling, dynamic end to the ever-evolving sequence.
