Every Stephen King Movie Ranked Worst To Best
5. It (2017)
Of all Stephen King's great creations, Pennywise the Dancing Clown (originally portrayed by the great Tim Curry on TV before this movie cast a delightfully creepy Bill Skarsgard) may be the most overtly petrifying.
The lead villain of Andy Muschietti's box office smash It, Pennywise is a malevolent creature that terrorises and murders the kids of Derry, Maine, every twenty-seven years, haunting them with their greatest fears whilst tampering with the city's very soul.
At the centre of the film, a gaggle of kids rally to fight their demons, both literally and figuratively, in a bid to save themselves. The results are a menacing fright-fest with stunning imagery where no one is safe, and Pennywise reigns supreme as an unforgettable merchant of death.
