Every Stephen King Movie Ranked Worst To Best
44. Cell (2016)
Almost a decade after teaming up for the brilliant 1408, John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson found themselves in the post-apocalyptic thriller Cell, about a zombie virus caused by everyone's mobile phones. (Stephen King can be subtle - this is not one of those times.)
Made with a budget of presumably $10, Cell features unnatural dialogue and sleepwalking performances, all the while offering nothing new to the bloated zombie-movie landscape. It's a cautionary tale with no real message, a thriller with no real thrills, and wasting two great stars like this should probably be a crime.
