Every Steven Spielberg Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
20. The Post (2017)
A perfect example of an enjoyable yet fundamentally dry Spielberg awards movie, The Post is a fittingly grounded account of The Washington Post’s desperate battle to publish the Pentagon Papers, and in today's age of "fake news", it really can't seem more relevant.
Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep lead a cracking ensemble cast, and it's never less than witty and intriguing, but it also lacks that little extra magic that could've made it the All the President's Men of its era.
As a tribute to the power of journalism, freedom of the press and feminism, it has a certain stirring power, but it's hard not to wish Spielberg pushed things just a little harder and further.
