Every Steven Spielberg Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
10. Minority Report (2002)
Though certainly flawed, the thematic richness, surprising character depth and delicious premise combine to make Minority Report a provocative "what if?" that, honestly, is starting to feel decidedly less fanciful with each passing year.
Far more measured than its shiny blockbuster gloss and Tom Cruise lead might have you believe, Spielberg takes some risks and they (mostly) pay off, while refusing to skimp on the delirious action sequences you'd expect (and they sure have aged gracefully).
Cruise gives one of his best and least self-conscious, least flattering performances here - Les Grossman aside, of course - in what's a tantalising sci-fi gumshoe romp that consistently intrigues all the way to the finish line. The ending could be better and it's messy in parts, but so damn riveting you'll probably not care all that much.
