Every Story Of Creepshow Season One Ranked

In one of countless retellings of W. W. Jacobs’ The Monkey’s Paw, a woman wakes up in a funeral home following a nasty accident. The mortician who tended to her injuries has been expecting her; in fact, he has (indirectly) wished for her arrival. Specifically, he has wished for a killer to be delivered to his doorstep, in the hope that they will end his misery and reunite him with his dead wife.

What is it with this series and grieving widowers? In all honesty, it does seem like quite a cheap choice to adapt this classic fable for a segment – it’s been thoroughly milked to death over the years. But this take does not disappoint, putting a suitably Creepshow spin on the story. It has a cracking Cemetery scene, in which the mortician wishes his wife back from the dead, and races to exhume her rotting, reanimated corpse. More of the segment should’ve been like this scene.
