I have no idea why everyone's made a big deal about the Big Game Spot for Captain America: Civil War revealing the teams rallying behind Cap and Iron Man in this year's Marvel epic. Not only is there already all that concept art (officially released, I might add), but the first teaser showed who was siding with Steve Rogers and, even if just by omission, who'd be taking him on alongside Tony Stark. Whatever, I can totally get behind the hype for this - this TV spot is great. I was a little undersold on the first trailer - it seemed to be operating on a rather basic level outside of that knock-out final fifteen seconds - but this one's really got me back on the Marvel train (the double-whammy of mediocrity from Avengers: Age Of Ultron and Ant-Man shook me a bit). While the money shot teases a 5-on-6 battle (with possibly more even numbers if Spider-Man's just out of shot next to Black Panther), the focus is definitely on the three-way relationship between Captain America, Iron Man and Bucky Barnes. The Winter Soldier appears to be the real dividing factor here, bigger even than the Superhero Registration Act, with Bucky trying to shoot Tony at point-blank range and clearly implicated in the idea of choosing sides. Wonderfully scored to chanting and managing to feel utterly complete after only thirty seconds (maybe all trailers should be forced to be this long), this is an excellent tease that sells the entire movie while also offering plenty for the more obsessive fans. Oh, I'm #TeamCap, in case you were wondering. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=27&v=0L7iH3foZU0 Agree with this list? What was your favourite of the Super Bowl trailers?
