Every Superhero Movie This Decade Ranked - Worst To Best

51. Max Steel (2016)

Max Steel
Open Road

Don't feel bad if you haven't heard of Max Steel. Produced for just $10 million, this low-budget attempt at a kid-friendly superhero movie may deliver surprisingly solid visuals considering its price tag, but fails to become anything more than a dull, generic and atrociously-written superhero origin story for kiddies.

Quite how Andy Garcia and Maria Bello were roped into this is anyone's guess, but the main plot twist can be seen coming a mile off, there's a weird clash in tones where the movie doesn't know who it's trying to appeal to, and though the younger cast members are trying (bless 'em), they rarely amount to more than attractive, soulless husks.

Max Steel is the only superhero movie on this list to score 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, and though it's objectively bad, it's certainly not as disappointing as several "better" entries on this list. The benefit of low expectations, right?
