The House:

Based on the first two "A Quiet Place" movies, you journey through the same path as the Abbott family who are trying to survive a post apocalyptic world. Huge monsters with super hearing are on the hunt for you. If you make the slightest sound they will find you.

The Verdict:

We went into the event with incredibly high expectations for this house. We loved the idea of the use of sound in this house being different to the usual offering and adding to the ominous nature that this film franchise builds up over the course of its movies.

The sound in this maze was completely unique. Parts of the house were almost silent with just the sound of water or creaking pipes. If you were silent, the house was. It also meant that when scare actors around you made noise you began to anticipate that an attack would be coming soon.

We felt this maze did lack something in the "creepy" factor that the movies do so well. To make sure we weren't an outlier in this we asked the rest of the group who all said something similar. Perhaps it was that the stunningly gorgeous (and moist) monsters were slightly too visible at times. The first two "A Quiet Place" films do an amazing job of keeping the monsters hidden and only showing them when they need to. Which is hard to do in a haunted house where scares need to happen throughout.

Other than this, we were taken aback by how stunning this maze was. It certainly brought some of the key moments from the first two films and was instantly recognisable. We loved that we saw the moment the creatures land, right up to boat scene in "A Quiet Place II."

It says a lot that this house features so far down this list as although not perfect, there were scares galore and the sound was well done.
