18. Aladdin

Possible Release Date: 3rd August, 2018

Status: Casting.

For some, the very idea that Will Smith might be replacing Robin Williams as the Genie for the live-action remake of Aladdin is enough reason to lose their minds. At least it wasn't Kevin Hart, that's all I'm saying.

The film - which is likely to cast entirely Arabic (despite the original story being Chinese) - should combine effects for the genie with the romantic plot of the original (with more focus on the original Arabian Nights text). Judging by the names linked, they're going with a comedic Genie again, which is a good move.

17. Ralph Breaks The Internet

Release Date: 21st November, 2018

Status: In development.

A sequel to Wreck-It Ralph was always inevitable, but it' been some time in the making. Set 6 years after the original, Ralph Breaks The Internet (an awful name) sees the former bad guy exploring the Internet after a WiFi router is plugged into the arcade. Mustn't be on the bleeding edge of tech there, presumably.

The cast are all returning and we're also getting the great additions of Jodi Benson, Alan Tudyk, James Corden and Ana Ortiz. And rather excitingly, Mario has been confirmed to be playing some part.

Can't wait to see how they pretend the Internet is not literally full of porn.
