38. Prince Charming

Status: Script optioned.
A couple of years ago, Disney snapped up a script by Matt Fogel (who assisted Phil Lord and Chris Miller on Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs), which will apparently tell a revisionist take on Disney's most famous romantic male support.
He's already appeared in Cinderella as well as in Into The Woods (twice), but it seems likely we'll get a fourth iteration for this live-action take, which is yet to hire a director or any other talent. How they make it enjoyable remains to be seen, but it'll presumably be in good hands.
37. Cars 3
Release Date: 16th June, 2017
Status: Finished and coming summer 2017.
Despite how critically underwhelming the second Cars was, John Lasseter has pushed ahead with a third movie. It shouldn't be too surprising, given how much money Cars merchandise brings in for Disney, but it's not entirely welcome.
More welcome is the suggestion that it's far more dark than the other two (the first one is great and doesn't deserve the hate). But really, with one of Pixar's youngest audiences, it really can't be all THAT dark.
Hopefully, Lasseter has avoided over-using Mater this time.
