11. Silver Sable

Back when Sony announced their FIRST round of big spin-off plans when The Amazing Spider-Man movies were still active, we were supposed to be getting a Silver & Black movie focused on Silver Sable and Black Cat. It was supposed to be the arrowhead at the front of Sony's drive for greater diversity, but then everything went a big wrong and plans changed.

For a while, Silver & Black continued in early development, but then it was quietly cancelled. Even more quietly - since a fair few people don't seem to even realise it happened - the film was also replaced by two stand-alones, separating the characters in their own movies.

Silver Sable is obviously less well-known than some other Spider-Man counterparts, but she's a war-criminal-hunting mercenary willing to do whatever it takes. She's been anti-her and antagonist and the most intriguing idea is that she could be the Spider-Verse's answer to The Punisher.
