1. The Element Of Surprise

As you will have noticed while the film was being marketed, Marvel have a bit of a problem with spoilers and leaks and they absolutely know about it. Why else would they have gone to such lengths to misdirect in the advertising, including digitally altering trailer scenes, selling ideas that didn't happen and including footage that simply wasn't in the final film?

All of that led to a film that was mostly very well protected from leakers (though there was one that almost called the entire plot back at the end of 2017 that was mostly overlooked, thankfully), and whose secrets were well worth the concern Marvel had for keeping them covered.

Seeing Peter Dinklage's cameo was great, so too was Gamora's death and Red Skull's appearance, but it was the snap that really landed. Even knowing the story in the comics, the idea that a Disney film would do that is just stunning. This was bravery and messing with expectations in the best way.
