3. Plan The Rest of the Story Arc Ahead of Time
We've got three films promised to us if Evil Dead does well enough. If its initial weekend is anything to go by, audiences look to be ready to enjoy some more Deadite madness. So if we know how many films are coming up, and we know there's plans to connect both past and present franchises, there needs to be a plan in place. Story continuity is the obvious reason for planning things out, but there are two, more important reasons as to why the story should be plotted out. First, it makes it easier to produce all three films back to back to back. With Bruce Campbell's advancing age, time is something that's not as much of a luxury as it would be if we were just finishing the remake franchise. Also, Campbell undoubtedly has his schedule tied up with Burn Notice, and this also works especially well with Jane Levy being on Suburgatory. With a plan in place, she can be on each set when she needs to be, without conflict. Second, it makes the end of the series that much more satisfying. People have been waiting for a proper Evil Dead/Army of Darkness sequel for a good couple of years now, and the remake only stoked the fires further for Sam Raimi to write the final chapter of Ash's adventures. The ball is in play to finish the series the right way, and with these three films the stories for both franchises can be wrapped properly.
