Once he finds Gwen Stacy and Spider-Man working together to put down Electro, Dane DeHaan's Harry Osborn immediately deduces that Peter Parker must be Spidey.

Unfortunately for Gwen, this makes her the prime target of this iteration of the Green Goblin - to the point, she'd soon end up dead, pulling plentiful inspiration from the famed The Night Gwen Stacy Died comic book tale of 1973.

8. Captain America: Civil War - Tony Stark

Tony Stark was clearly a smart, smart man who had a whole array of resources at his fingertips. Thus, when some mysterious hero was swinging around the streets of New York City, Stark's curiosity was always going to result in him unearthing just who this person was.

The Armoured Avenger's path led him to Peter Parker, and Stark would have his suspicions confirmed when he pulled Peter's rookie Spider-Man suit from the attic.

From there, Parker would be gifted an 'upgrade' as we got to see the start of a beautiful friendship.
