For Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans), he learns about Spider-Man's real identity after ol' Web-head ends up leaving his own personal camera behind in the Lizard's lair after the two had done battle.

Making this all the more forehead-slapping, said camera literally has a sticker on it saying "PROPERTY OF PETER PARKER".

10. The Amazing Spider-Man - George Stacy

The Amazing Spider-Man Captain Stacy
Columbia Pictures

It's Captain Stacy finding out who Spider-Man is that actually saves the bacon of the beloved Wall-crawler.

With Spidey having been hunted down by a SWAT team, it comes down to the unmasked Peter and George Stacy. Upon realising who was under the mask all this time, Stacy lets Spider-Man escape in order to stop the Lizard's attack on Oscop - where George's daughter Gwen happens to be.

Soon after this, Captain Stacy would wind up dead, with his dying breaths telling Peter to stay away from Gwen.
