Exactly When Bill & Ted Face The Music Will Be Released - Final Trailer!
Excellent!
Bill & Ted Face the Music, the sequel to the cult sci-fi comedy classics some thirty years in the making, now has a new poster, new trailer, and new release date.
Orion Pictures announced the film will be released simultaneously onto VOD and in select theaters on September 1. This comes shortly before a Comic-Con@Home panel that will feature actors Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, Samara Weaving, Bridgette Lundy-Paine and William Sadler, director Dean Parisot and screenwriters Chris Matheson & Ed Solomon.
The film was originally scheduled for a theatrical release on August 21, 2020, but was delayed and rescheduled due to the Ongoing Global Bastardâ„¢ closing movie theaters around the world.
The official plot synopsis reads:
"Once told they'd save the universe during a time-traveling adventure, 2 would-be rockers from San Dimas, California find themselves as middle-aged dads still trying to crank out a hit song and fulfill their destiny."
A third Bill & Ted film has been in the works since 2010, when Reeves and Winter announced that a script had been written. Due to difficulties in finding a distributor, the film remained in development for a better part of the decade, until production finally started in March 2019.
Reeves and Winter reprise their respective roles as Ted Logan and Bill S. Preston, which they first played in the 1989 film Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and again in the 1991 sequel Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey. Also returning are cast members William Sadler, Amy Storch, and Hal Landon Jr. Newcomers include Samara Weaving (Ready or Not), Brigette Lundy-Paine (Bombshell), Anthony Carrigan (Barry), Jillian Bell (Workaholics), Kristen Schall (Gravity Falls, Toy Story 4), and Holland Taylor (Gloria Bell). The late George Carlin, who starred in the first two films, will appear via archive footage.
