Fantastic Beasts: 10 Potential Harry Potter Spinoffs We'd Rather See
6. The Next Generation
Let me be crystal clear when I discuss this idea: I am not for one tiny second advocating for a film adaptation of The Cursed Child. But I do want to see what the wizarding world looks like twenty years down the line, casually populated by older versions of the characters we know and love and, perhaps more importantly, their children.
Because Harry Potter is first and foremost a story designed to capture the imagination of children, and is at its best when shown through the eyes of a child. Also, I think that this would make an incredible television show,. All of the superhero programs and HBO dramas prove that you can tell a compelling story on TV without sacrificing quality in a way that wouldn't have been possible ten or fifteen years ago.
I'm picturing an anthology show where each episode focuses on a different character, but they're all integrated seamlessly into a cohesive view of the future wizarding community. Like Skins, but at the same time nothing like Skins.
