10. Darkness Rises

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was, by and large, a fun-filled return to the Wizarding World. There were stakes, especially by the end, but for the most part it was an enjoyable romp filled with wonderful creatures and magical spells.

That is certainly not the case this time around. The levity is all but gone, with just a couple of jokes being cracked, and the onus instead is on how much danger everybody finds themselves in.

It's an old cliche for sequels to go darker, but that's clearly what this trailer is hinting at, in what might be one of the darkest Wizarding World movies we've seen yet. Telling the crowd that "the old ways serve us no longer", the movie is going to considerably advance his plans for a wizarding war as he attempts to turn people against Muggles 'for the greater good' (it wouldn't be a surprise if we hear that phrase in the movie itself, either).
