9. Grindelwald Makes His Move

Early in the trailer we see Grindelwald in the very uncomfortable position of being magically carried to his jail cell, and yet by the end he's breaking free and riding off with the help of some thestrals.

It's a major change in fortunes for the character, and means he's free to once again win people to his cause, as we see in the rally pictured below. Aside from the obvious real-world parallels, the trailer does put Grindelwald (and thus Depp) in the spotlight much more, after he was largely hidden away in the teaser, despite the movie being named after him.

Later in the trailer the rally has mostly emptied, so it's unclear how much he's succeeded at this point, but that might be because he's interrupted by the cavalry.
