Fantastic Beasts 2: Everything You Need To Know

The worst haircut of 2016 will return to screens next year, with Ezra Miller reprising the role of Credence Barebone. Despite appearing to die, the young obscurial who sometimes turns into a black cloud will back for Fantastic Beasts 2. David Heyman told CinemaBlend, "we actually had a scene, which we cut [from the first film], which was Credence going to a boat, to get on a boat somewhere else."

Heyman added that this may have been the same boat that Newt boarded at end of the movie, teasing the possibility that Credence is following Newt - the only person who tried to be nice to him during the final fight - on his journey back to Europe. Perhaps Credence is developing some sort of obsession with Newt, providing a reason for the magizoologist to stay in the story.

So Fantastic Beasts 2 will explore Newt's relationship with Leta whilst also pushing Credence's storyline forward and brewing a conflict between Dumbledore and Grindelwald. The action will move to Paris for reasons unknown and there might be a trip to Hogwarts on cards. And with three movies left to go, this one doesn't need to wrap everything up or having a particularly happy ending...
