Fantastic Beasts: 21 WTF Moments

It might have been effectively spoiled before the film was released, but the presence of Johnny Depp - a bona fide A-lister who can still basically choose what he wants to do (despite an occasionally poor box office record) - in the film is still massively shocking.

That's probably why the reactions to his appearance have been so split. Personally, I think it's great and I think his look was perfect for the image of Grindelwald as the wizarding world's version of Hitler, but a lot of people have reacted negatively before he's even had a chance to build a character.

Considering his recent troubles in the press, it's actually pretty amazing that Warner Bros went near him - not that trial by media is ever to be encouraged.
