4. Dumbledore's Relationship With Newt

In a change to the canon, Newt never graduated from Hogwarts, instead being expelled for endangering human life with a beast (basically a pre-cursor for what would happen to Hagrid years later).

And yet, despite that expulsion, he's been able to keep his wand, and retains some good standing in the Wizarding World. A large part of that is likely because of Albus Dumbledore, who it's revealed spoke in his defence.

Dumbledore has a lot of importance to where this story is ultimately headed, but as we move through the years and also get learn more about Newt's story, we should see more of what their relationship was. Why did he speak so passionately in Newt's defence, and how was the Magizoologist able to keep his wand and later go on to work for the Ministry?
