Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them: 8 Harry Potter Easter Eggs That Would Rule

From iconic characters to important magic numbers, these Easter eggs need to be in Fantastic Beasts.

It€™s been nearly 5 years since the last Harry Potter movie came out. Yep, let that sink in. With worldwide withdrawal symptoms becoming almost unbearable, it seems timely that our next Wizarding fix is now only a hand stretch away. Well, 9 months to be exact. The first instalment of J.K. Rowling's supposedly three-part spin off, Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, is set to debut on November 11, 2016, and lets just say there€™s a feeling of great expectation from Potter-heads everywhere. After all, Harry Potter is pretty much the most successful movie franchise of all time, which, unfortunately for Fantastic Beasts, makes it a tough act to follow. This film has the opportunity to satiate the never-ending hunger of Harry Potter fans and speculation has already begun as to how Warner Bros might incorporate the beloved series into the new trilogy. J.K. Rowling has really shown evidence throughout the Harry Potter series of being the Queen of Easter Eggs. Snape's (may he rest in peace) first words to Harry for example: "What would I get if I added a powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?" in the language of Victorian Flower, literally means "I bitterly regret Lily's death." It's not just the script that has these hidden gems, it's the action too. From glimpses of 'Cheery Owls' cereal in the Great Hall, to Dobby the House-elf riding a llama through the Quidditch World Cup in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", the films are full of fun and surprising Easter Eggs. Despite Fantastic Beasts being set 70 years prior to Harry Potter picking up Newt€™s book at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and it being set in a different country, there's always opportunity here for Fantastic Beasts to sneak in some Easter eggs. Here€™s 8 potential ones that would rule in Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.
