Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them: 8 Harry Potter Easter Eggs That Would Rule

4. Nicolas Flamel

As mentioned, Fantastic Beasts is thought to be a three-part franchise, and therefore leaves room for real depth into Newt€™s character. We could see the third film ending on the happy note of Newt settling into his retirement with dear wife Porpentina. Lovely. Well if so, there€™s opportunity for yet another character cameo Easter egg, apart from this ones much more interesting because we€™ve never actually seen Nicolas Flamel, who was pretty the main focus of €œHarry Potter and the Philosophers Stone.€ If you need to be reminded, Flamel is the incredibly old dude that created the elixir to immortal life. Following the incident with Voldemort trying to obtain the stone, it was decided that Flamel would settle his affairs and eventually pass away with his wife by his side. Interestingly enough, the South-west of England seems a great place to retire with both Newt and Flamel choosing to relocate there in the early 1900s, with Newt in Dorset and Flamel in Devon. This would certainly be a symbolic end to the series. Whilst both are settled into a quiet life, Flamel represents the beginning of Harry Potter€™s battle against evil, so it would be suiting to see the characters collide at the end of the third film. Perhaps both parties deem the same day perfect for an apparate out onto the hills.
