Fantastic Beasts: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
10. Gnarlack
If you didn't know Ron Perlman was playing the American goblin gangster Gnarlack before the film's release, you needed only look at his face for confirmation. The facial capture work has done wonders to recapture his immediately recognisable face.
Gnarlack could well have been a much more interesting character, but he's limited to a few minutes of screen-time in a short sequence that accelerates his arc from mysterious to turncoat in a matter of moments. And it's not like you don't see it coming: he's not exactly presented as a particularly trustworthy element.
It's nice to see that America has such murky figures on its magical underbelly too, and that the goblins who run the banks have inverted versions who put the same skills to work for more nefarious reasons.
