Fantastic Beasts: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

9. The Erumpent

It might not look as it "should" after the appearance of the Erumpent horn in The Deathly Hallows (in Xenophilius Lovegood's house), but the big gelatinous rhino slug is the star of one of the film's most memorable moments. That tends to be the effect when you see a gigantic creature attempting to have sex with a comedy sidekick after being fluffed by Eddie Redmayne doing a sex dance.

The creature isn't on screen for a long time, but it's basically a personification of that old favourite joke when the girl cat accidentally gets striped in white paint and the skunk falls in love. Who could ever get sick of that?

And as gags go, the decision to literally have the Erumpent's sexual aggression (its horn) be volatile given what we know of it is pretty damn funny.
