Fantastic Beasts: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

4. Queenie Goldstein

Queenie Goldstein Fantastic Beasts
Warner Bros.

Slightly edging out her sister, legilimens Queenie scores more points because she's given more of a developmental arc. She's also aided by the fact that she's genuinely funny, using her powers not only to reflect out other character's emotions (which is a very handy tool for directors to call on).

But it's her relationship with Kowalski that really elevates her - her wide-eyed, flirty exoticness is genuinely irresistible when seen through his eyes, and the way she is disarmed by his scruffy charm is enchanting.

It's a shame that some will say she's just another female character relegated to a romantic element, but nobody should be complaining when the romance is that compelling. And in truth she has a lot more to her bow than just being an object of his affection: she's resourceful, dependable and a very charming figure.
