5. The Effects

This being a supremely expensive blockbuster production, you'd expect there to be a fair bit of gloss on a Fantastic Beasts film, but the effects work shown off in this trailer is next level stuff.

It's always nice to see magic in full bloom (and quite honestly it was something we didn't see nearly enough in the Potter series, so the prospect of a wizarding war was always a big draw), but it's not just that the trailer shows off. There's some mind-bending effecs akin to the best work in Doctor Strange as portals open in the air and walls melt away for people to walk through.

Almost everywhere you look, the effects team are pushing the capabilities of their medium to their full capabilities (even with colourising and texture work) and it looks like it's set up to be a true visual spectacular.
