5. Discovering Their Powers
It's been obvious so far that the Ultimate comics are the main inspiration for Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot (both he and Simon Kinberg have said as much). However, one thing which the duo appear to have turned to the classic comics for is when the four heroes discover their newfound abilities. They're teleported across the globe in the Ultimate Universe, but the trailer featured what looked like Reed crawling through wreckage. That has to be after his experiment with the N-Zone goes wrong, and eagle eyed veiwers even spotted a body in the background which was on fire. That must be Johnny Storm. Assuming that this all happens in the Baxter Institute, those affected look like they're moved to another military installation afterwards, so there's a chance it will be there that they discover their powers. This scene still feels like a nod to their original origin though.
