Fantastic Four: 17 Easter Eggs, In-Jokes And References You Need To See

6. The Naming Of Planet Zero

The world that Reed's teleporter leads to is dubbed Planet Zero, probably because the guy who normally names new worlds was on vacation. There's no real comic basis for such a name, but it does serve as a reference to one essential print idea. As already mentioned, in the comics the dimension the Four travel to is known as the Negative Zone. It's never called as such in the film, however, but it is alluded to; in naming the convergence point between the two universes Zero, it's implied to be the negative to our world's positive. Sneaky.
