Fantastic Four New Trailer Breakdown: 25 Things You Need To See

7. Romantic Banter (Sort Of)

It's impossible to have any big budget blockbuster without a romantic subplot, and especially so in a superhero movie (apparently). In the Fantastic Four at least the two are on relatively equal peggings, in terms of their powers and intellect. Sue Storm is involved in the experiments being run by her father, whom Reed Richards is drafted into help, so she must be something of a smart cookie. Which she shows with a brief bit of witty repertoire with her eventual love €“ or perhaps undercuts the idea of a future romance between them. €œI have to say, it's fun having you here,€ she tells him. €œReally?€ he asks with a dorky level of disbelief. €œNo,€ she adds, leading to awkward laughter all around.
