Fantastic Four New Trailer Breakdown: 25 Things You Need To See
19. You Can't Fix This
This week also saw the release of the second Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer, which saw the Man Of Steel being decried as a Hitler-esque super-powered tyrant and the Dark Knight asking his fellow hero if he bleeds. That's a somewhat cynical, grim view of superheroes who are mostly concerned with who wields the most power, fearing each other and being violent. In The Fantastic Four, meanwhile, it seems like the main conflict is Reed Richards wanting to help his friends. In the trailer he says that all he wants is to save them from their bizarre mutations, before tragically being told you can't fix this. That's some well-earned angst, there. And a much more humanistic and heroic premise, honestly, with Reed insisting that he try and clean up the mess he made and save his friends.
