2. Sacha Baron Cohen
And here come the stones. "We don't want Borat to be Dr. Doom!" Well, I'm not asking for Borat. I'm asking for the talented, well-ranged Sacha Baron Cohen. Now, obviously the actor is well-known for his explosive endeavors as his flamboyantly stereotypical character conceptions, but don't let yourself be fooled by his pretty all-inclusive talent. He's an actor who's caught the eyes of both Martin Scorsese and Tim Burton in some of their more surprising films (a children's film and a musical), and he'll probably be a welcome addition to this year's
Les Mis, directed by
The King's Speech Tom Hooper. So, is he hiding something? Well, it was rumored that he was Queen's top pick for Freddy Mercury in a possible biopic, which attests to his talents, not just musically, but as an actor. So, could he bring a threatening rendition of Dr. Doom? I'm one for thinking so, and the idea very much excites me. It'd be nice to get a break from his explosive characters and see him adapt the petrifying Marvel villain.
