Fantastic Four Reboot Movie: 10 Reasons To Be Excited

1. The Script Will Make Or Break It

Truthfully, you may as well be excited rather than dread this film, because this cast can all act and they're joining a director with a good track record: the make-or-break factor in the mix is the script. If you're charitable towards Jessica Alba's acting ability, the 2005 and 2007 Fantastic Four films are both stunted primarily by issues which can be traced to the script. As mentioned earlier, Julian McMahon particularly suffers as a good actor stranded with a badly underwritten character. The reboot is therefore mostly in the hands of Simon Kinberg, who has been responsible for a mixed bag including X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), Jumper (2008), Sherlock Holmes (2009) and the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past. Hopefully the latter will give us something to go on, because if the script comes through, there's no reason this reboot can't succeed. The cast certainly isn't holding it back.
