Fast And Furious: Hobbs & Shaw - 7 Ups And 2 Downs

5. The Soundtrack

Hobbs and Shaw
Universal Pictures

As you might expect from such a high octane and action packed feature, the soundtrack to Hobbs and Shaw is equally bombastic and in your face offering huge club thumping beats in the likes of "All Roads Lead Home" and "Even If I Die" (which also includes Idris Elba on vocals next to Cypress Hill), while also leaning heavily into the cool cruising tunes of "Keep You Alive" by Brothers Voodoo.

In essence this is pure Fast and Furious music through and through, bringing that trademark on the nose swagger that you not only expect from actions films of this ilk but almost demand. It's thoroughly cool in places as well with the mumbling croon of YUNGBLUD offering up a truly impressive opening cover of "Time In A Bottle" which fits both the introduction of the films breach and clear scene, but also the themes of the film itself (Time passing being a huge motif for Hobb's family ties and for Hatty's venom extraction).

It might not be clever but it certainly is big and a perfect accompaniment to the film.
