Okay, so it's 2017 and Dom Toretto is a modern masculine icon, but it's exceptionally difficult to accept that he would be seen dead going shopping with a tote bag.

There may be strikes for feminism in this film - well, one, when Ramsey hits back at Tej and Roman for sexualising her without knowing her surname - but this is a universe where all men are real muscle-bound monsters (look at the ridiculous prison guards for proof), where women wear micro-skirts and where testosterone drips off every engine.

To see Dom walking casually through his Cuban city home swinging his shopping bag is just odd and out of place.
