The end of this prologue - which feels like it is actually an entire film in itself, because it's so weirdly alien - is easily the worst writing in the entire film. Are we supposed to believe that humiliating the local top dog and then "teaching him a lesson" by letting him keep his car would make him a good guy?

He literally tried to kill Dom moments earlier to win a car: this is a bad egg. For him to then turn into a doe-eyed fanboy of Dom is supremely silly.

And then when Raldo turns up as part of Dom's complex plot to get the Shaws onto Cipher's plane, it's just ludicrous. Has he completely changed this tough guy's life so much that he's now his lap dog?
