Fast & Furious 9: 20 WTF Moments

After Jakob assured Dom he didn't intend to play a part in their father's death, it was only inevitable that he would go through the same character arc as the likes of Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) - a truce with the family.

Ultimately Jakob gets betrayed by Otto and Cipher, with Mia saving her brother from sure death mid-chase. This causes Jakob to realise the importance of family and help them destroy Otto's convoy at the eleventh hour.

Dom and Jakob then get a fleeting reconciliation, Dom gifting Jakob his car and offering him a second chance, before Jakob drives away.

Though Jakob isn't seen at the closing family BBQ, don't be shocked at all if he's integrated into the core team in the next movie.

It may be insanely lazy and predictable as storytelling goes, but John freakin' Cena joining the family is a tough proposition to sneer at.
