4. Tej & Roman Go To Space
Well, they finally went and did it. After years of fans and the filmmakers alike joking about it, the series has gone to space.
After Otto launches a satellite into orbit onto which Project Ares will be uploaded - which would in turn allow him to manipulate anything on the planet run by computer code - Roman and Tej are tasked with using the rocket-powered Pontiac Fiero to stop them.
And so, a terrified Roman and Tej, with some help from Sean, Twinkie, and Earl, are sent up into the stratosphere, using NOS-powered thrusters to reach space.
They're not there for long, but the ridiculous sequence gives us some of the series' most hypnotic imagery - Roman staring lovingly at Earth from afar, and the unbelievable sight of a Pontiac Fiero shedding its launch rocket as it enters orbit.
"Two dudes from the ghetto in outer space," Roman knowingly says, before the pair crash the car into the satellite and prevent Ares being able to go online.
This leaves them stranded in space, though, so they're only saved when another spaceship comes across them, with the inhabitants asking of their bright yellow spacesuits, "Why do they look like Minions?"
