Fast & Furious 9: 20 WTF Moments

19. Michael Rooker's Cameo

Fast and Furious 9 Ludacris Tyrese

It wasn't exactly a secret that Michael Rooker had a role in the movie, but Universal nevertheless kept his presence relatively low-profile, deciding not to include him in the marketing and only mentioning that he played an unspecified character named "Buddy."

As it turns out, the Walking Dead and MCU star ends up playing a member of Jack Toretto's pit crew, appearing in the opening flashback and holding Dom back from running out to the track when his father dies.

Buddy also shows up in the present day when Dom visits him at his garage, hilariously looking shockingly similar despite the passage of three decades.

Buddy explains he took Jakob in after he was run out of town by Dom, and after dispensing some sage wisdom about the futility of revenge, tells Dom that his brother is in London.

It's ultimately a pretty thankless cameo, but when is Michael Rooker never not a damn welcome sight?
