Fast & Furious: Ranking The Series From Worst To Best

The improbable franchise ranked, from the lame to the totally insane...

Furious 7 is finally out in cinemas now, with fans getting a chance to see the action-packed farewell to the late Paul Walker for themselves. It's the best-reviewed film of the series and is widely projected to also be the highest-grossing one, demonstrating just how far the franchise has come from its more humble origins back in 2001 as a street racing B-movie. Who could possibly have predicted that it would have become a pop-culture phenomenon on this level with action just as insane as a Transformers or Avengers movie? So, what better time to go back to where it all began and rank the movies from worst to best? Though there's a pretty fair consensus that the fifth, sixth and seventh movies are decidedly better-made and more entertaining than the first four films, those first four movies divide opinion heavily, and are quite peculiar to re-watch within the new context of the series. Some love them, some hate them, but without them the series wouldn't be at its current high, so it's hard to have too much dislike for even the weaker efforts. It's time to figure out where each Fast and the Furious movie sits in the franchise: is Tokyo Drift as bad as many think? Is Fast Five still the king of the series? Read on and find out...
