Fast & Furious: Ranking The Series From Worst To Best

7. Fast & Furious

The first movie since the original to feature both Paul Walker and Vin Diesel in starring roles, Fast and Furious helped bring all the necessary components back together while also introducing the prequel element, given that Han (Sung Kang) is still alive despite dying in the previous film, Tokyo Drift. It also starts a tonal shift for the series, with more ridiculous stunts even though the general tone of the film is still relatively downbeat due to the death of Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) early on. Sadly the movie's over-reliance on CGI and pronounced lack of fun makes this easily the weakest of the seven movies, and the fact that Brian gets re-hired by the FBI is more ridiculous than pretty much any stunt in the entire series. Really!? Best Scene: In the opening heist scene, Dom drives his car headlong into a flipping tanker, driving under it as it bounces down the road with mere inches to spare. For the first time in the series, the stunts went from somewhat implausible to totally, insanely ridiculous. Worst Scene: Any mopey scene where Dom is sad about Letty, or when he's trying to investigate how she died. It's all way too serious for this franchise, and completely detracts from the fun.
