Fifty Shades Darker Review: 2 Ups & 8 Downs

Ups...

2. It's Unintentionally Hilarious

In terms of pure entertainment value, Fifty Shades Darker is an enjoyable movie to a point, because there's just so much here to laugh your a** off at.

A few choice zingers include Christian telling Kim Basinger's Elena, "You taught me how to f***, but [Ana] taught me how to love", Ana mentioning "kinky f***ery" and her agreeing to go on a date with Christian not because she's interested, but because she's hungry.

The film is so demented in its intent, tone and delivery that you'd need to be an actively miserable soul not to glean some laughs out of it, even if you'll probably be cringing just as much as you chuckle.

Once the movie's out on home video, the inevitable cringe-cut someone posts to YouTube is going to be a glorious masterpiece (and will save about 100 minutes of your life).
