6. "Babies Happen When You Have Sex...And We Have A Lot Of It"

A boatload full of melodrama follows Ana's revelation, with Christian heading out to go get drunk with Elena (Kim Basinger, who is curiously absent from the film).

Ana later helps put a very drunk Christian to bed - mirroring him taking care of her in the first movie - and after Ana realises who Christian's been out with, it's her turn to be grumpy and sulk.

Ana ignores him the next morning, makes Christian believe she's gone missing, has her own sad shower, and then has a full-blown argument with him.

The preposterous scene - which takes place while Ana is getting changed, making it even more difficult to take seriously or pay attention to - ends with Ana telling him, "Babies happen when you have sex, and we have a lot of it."

Well, uh, babies aren't supposed to happen if you're a responsible adult when it comes to taking your contraception regularly, and therefore don't trap your partner with a baby they're clearly not happy about having. That the film depicts Ana as the righteous, dignified one here is just ridiculous.
