7. Surprise! Ana's Pregnant

It was always inevitable that the franchise would end this way. As was so masterfully set up earlier in the film, Ana falls pregnant after failing to take her contraceptive shot regularly, which while perhaps realistic, isn't remotely satisfying on a dramatic level.

Ana breaks the news to Christian over dinner, and as you can imagine, he's not exactly thrilled about it, effectively derailing the charmed life he had planned for them.

Apparently these people have never heard of abortion, which to be fair, would be an even less sexy route to go than introducing pregnancy into a movie that's supposed to be about the joys of kinky sex.
