1. The Ending
And finally, there's the ending, or rather, the non-ending, in which Christian and Ana have it out in an argument after Christian has brutally put through Ana through the wringer with some unpleasant spanking. She decides not to continue the arrangement anymore, and the final shot has Ana getting in the elevator to leave Grey's apartment, ending things on more of a whimper than a bang. Yes, it's of course a sequel-bait ending to keep viewers interested for the inevitable adaptation of Fifty Shades Darker, but it's such a downer, and for a movie that's supposed to be making BDSM palatable for the masses, it doesn't make it look too appealing that the leading lady has just seemingly given up on it. When the end credits roll in cinemas all over the world, a collective, "What!?" accompanied by exasperated laughter surely follows. Have you seen Fifty Shades of Grey yet? Which moments entertained and infuriated you the most? Shout it out in the comments!
